"Analysing the availability and competency of accredited testing laboratories for improving competitiveness of Indonesian export case study: nutmeg product|

Accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs), especially testing laboratories, are one of the important facilities to provide certification for export products. Certified products will enhance customer protection and improve the product’s competitiveness in the global trade. The study will investigate the roles of availability and competency of accredited CABS for improving competitiveness of Indonesian export by focusing on nutmeg testing laboratories. The approach employed in this study will be a combination of quantitative and qualitative descriptive method with case study method. Using secondary data, the export of nutmeg in three selected provinces, which are North Sulawesi, West Papua, and Java Island, will be compared and correlated to the availability and competency of accredited testing laboratories.
